A Few Words About What We Do
Central Community Center is a faith based hub within the heart of Springfield with the purpose of inspiring faith, enriching culture, and cultivating community. We strive to serve our community by providing services and activities that will enhance the quality of life for the people of the Springfield community.
Central Community Center is a stand alone non-profit. It is our goal to use the non-profit Corporation’s available resources in furtherance of its charitable goals and developmental models of practical spirituality to create a model for the Springfield community.
Our service programs offer warm meals, educational opportunities for children and adults, vocational initiatives that will benefit the family structure through classes and trainings for individuals, groups and specific organizations, provide community-based assistance in areas of support of adults reentering society, recovering situations, family guidance / needs, and by empowering individuals to develop economic stability.
We now offer a warm meal, every Tuesday, 5:30-6:30 pm at the Central Community Kitchen, 230 E High Street, Springfield, OH 45505.
Registration is now open for Covenant CDF Freedom School, a summer literacy program for students entering grades 1-8. The program will be held at the Springfield Dome, June 14-July 23, Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 3:30 pm. There is no cost to attend, parents must commit to bring their children for the whole 6 weeks.
